I read up on cavies before I adopted and I knew not to use the balls, even though they sell them everywhere. For more exercise, I have a corner in my living room blocked off and they have lots of room to run and I also have their toys and chew toys in there. I made the walls with 2by4 square panels welded into place, in what shape I wanted. It makes a huge play area and I can move it anywhere I want. Just put paper on the floor because they can potty alot!
