I currently have two sows already and I'm interested in getting a bigger cage so we can expand the family. I live in B'ham, AL, but I'm also open to driving to Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, or Tennessee to pick up a guinea.
I'd like only females so I can keep it male-free. Age isn't really an issue, although I would prefer to have a younger guinea.
One place to try is Alabama EARS Home Page They are mostly a rabbit rescue but they also handle some GPs.
Call local exotic vets and let them know you are wanting to adopt. They often know of people looking to rehome.
Look in the newspaper classifieds and on craigslist (beware of breeders)
Go into you local shelters. Don't just look online or call though as they often don't have an updated list available. You have to physically go in and look.
