Looking for a young male guinea in or near NYC metro area

I am interested in adopting a healthy male piggie from a reputable breeder or shelter. This would be my first time adopting a guinea pig so I really want to find a healthy little piggie to nurture and care for. Please let me know if you have any piggies available in the NYC tri-state area.

Breeders don't adopt out pigs, they sell them. They contribute to the overpopulation of guinea pigs in rescues and shelters.

I suggest trying Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. .

Hi. I have a wonderful male piggy, just under two years old that I need to find a new home for. He is very afraid of our new dog. He is vocal, loves being held and petted. He even purrs at times. He comes free with his own cage and assorted pampered pet accessories. He loves romaine lettuce and greets you verbally when you enter the room. I am broken hearted that we have to give him up! I am located in central Jersey.
