My piggy, Benny, well we have a cage, and its a starter cage. Its white with a green bottom. And when ever he runs he slings his bedding EVERY WHERE. Anybody have some tips for me?

Put an old bedsheet under his cage. Then once a day you can move his cage, pick up the sheet by the corners and dump the bedding into the trash, lay the sheet back down, then the cage. We have to do this with even our HUGE 3x3 C&C cage and only one piggy!

Bennypiggy, maybe you could consider building him a CC cage and make the coroplast walls taller to help keep the shavings in the cage.

Another idea if you were to build a cage is you could change your bedding to fleece and not have to worry about shavings at all.

Yes, my cage is built from cheap grids and coroplast and has 6 inch sides. Some people even make the sides higher than that. I also use a fleece bedding system, since shavings are so expensive and messy and it would take a truckload of it to fill my cage and a dumpster to carry it out.

Guinea Pig Cages, Your Cavy At Home if you go to the "gallery" you can see hundreds of cage pictures that people have built using inexpensive grids and coroplast.

Guinea Lynx :: A Medical and Care Guide for Your Guinea Pig go to the "care guide" for an extensive lesson in guinea pig care.

You will find that 90 percent of guinea pig owners on all guinea pig forums have now built CC cages rather than put pigs into tiny little litterbox sized pet store cages. So it's worth looking into.
