Introducing my guinea pigs??????

In less than a week, I am going to get one of my male guinea pigs nuetered because he is the only one of my guinea pigs who are all alone. I already have nine guinea pigs and do not want to get anymore, so i figured I would get him fixed and then i will house him with my two females. Do I need to do anything before I introduce them? Will they automatically get along since he is a boy and they are girls? The girls are a mother and daughter who are really bonded together, will they accept him too? The mom is really laid back, but her baby (she is five months old) does not seem to like any other piggies except for her mama. I am not sure if she is jealous or what, but she doesn't want any piggie near her mama because two of my boys are housed in connecting cages where they can see the girls, but can't get to them and the mom seems to be very interested in the boys, but the baby just bites at them when they try and put their nose up to the cage bars on the side where they share. Will she act like that to the boy I will put in there also? He is pretty laid back and is a very calm piggie so I thouught it would be a good thing to do, so he won't be so alone. I don't want him getting hurt though. Should I introduce them for awhile outside of their cage, or just stick them all in their together? The cages I have are very large because my husband makes them for me since the pet store cages are way too small. (no i do not breed, but the pet store seemed to believe that they sold only boy guinea pigs and boy was I suprised to find out I had not only gotten a girl, but a pregnant one, so we of course kept her babies). We learned the hard way to ADOPT and not BUY guinea pigs. Thanks for any help in this matter, your suggestions will be appreciated.

Make sure your cage is large enough for three ( Guinea Pig Cages, Your Cavy At Home ). Then, I'd totally clean out the cage, wiped fresh with vinegar and water, fresh bedding, even clean the houses and food dishes. Then rearrange it all, and put the three in there at the same time.

The dynamics of the mom/daugher pair will probably change.

Even though your male will be neutered, there will still be rumblestrutting, chasing, and mounting going on.

Oh, and make sure you wait three weeks after the neuter before you do any of this!
