Most of the time neutered males don't get impaction. However, any male guinea pig kept in a cage too small without a companion or the right diet can develop impaction.

Sorry but I am a little confused. I have not heared the term impaction used before on this site, or any of the sites I have been to, (guineapigcages, guinea pig lynx). What is an impaction, can both genders of guinea pigs get it or just a specific type?
