Default Grow Timothy grass?

Hi everyone,
I wonder whether anybody has ever grown timothy grass for their pigs? I don't think I'd go to the effort of turning it into hay, but do they prefer it to bluegrass?

I know guinea pigs enjoy fresh grass so I was wondering, has anyone tried giving their piggy a little grass container like they sell for cats to aid in digestion?

I dont really know for sure, but the grass that is grown for kitties is just plain old grass in a small container so I figured maybe a piggy would enjoy its own little "lawn".

Oh, my gramma bought that. She said it was 3 in tall in a few days and her cat LOVED it! Maybe it would work...

It would be interesting to find out. Maybe one of the rescues knows if it would work for piggies too.

Cat grass that is sold in those little containers is regular barley - do pigs eat barley? They might.

I'll check at a farmer's store about the timothy. I'm not going to make my own hay, just feed it fresh to them. If they like it. Thanks for your feedback.
