As you all may know, my mother and I have 4 guinea pigs. I love them all very dearly ^.^ But here's the thing: when I pick them up, especially Penny (my default pic) she makes a concert of squeals! I dont know wether to leave her be or pick her reguardless. Chibi doesnt do that to me. She slightly squeals and lets me grab her. So what should I do bout Penny?

They're prey animals, so some pigs find being caught and picked up terrifying. Often times they'll settle down once you sit down on the couch with them. Sometimes they just like to talk. The more you hold her the more used to it she will become. Be sure to hold her close to your body with two hands when you carry her and give her a towel or cuddle cup to hide in so that she feels more secure.

She'll get more used to you, how long have you had her? If it continues after a while than you might need to add something else.

i like to lay with Yui. just lay on the bed with a towel on your chest if you want and let her sit there. when you carry them, make sure you have a hand on their butt and back.

Hold her more often for shorter periods of time. That will help!
