I had started this post on new members. But its more than a new member stuff now. I took my daughters new rescue pigges to the vet and they are very thin and have vit. c deficiency. However the female did have babies and the vet said it took everything out of her she also has had a broken back leg. It has healed but she can't use it. However with time good food and lots of love and attention she is going to be OK. I will tryt and get pictures to post here soon.
Also we need help with names. WE have one girl and one boy. So lets here some ideas!!

Have you separated them?

Did they come from a breeder?

I'm confused. So the sow had just given birth recently? She could be pregnant again if the male is still with her and has been this whole time. Unless he is neutered?

What are you feeding them?

Hopefully with some tlc they will be better soon. You can get plain vit c and supplement them in the meantime.

Sorry for the confusion. I forgot to add that we were told they were both girls but one is a boy. No they were not in the same cage at the house we got them from. We saw that they were not the same sex once we got into the car and so we have kept them seperate. Once the boy gets stronger and healthier we are going to have them neutered so we can put them together.

Ahhh, it's a good thing they ended up with someone who can tell the difference! And who is committed to taking such good care of them. Looking forward to photos.

I agree with PA pigger, It's so nice that piggies that have had earlier troubled lives have ended up with someone so responsible and devoted to taking care of them.

Names! YAY I love naming pigs!

Boy: Noddles
Girl: Sweety

Well we got some names. My daughter named the boy Romeo and the girl Juliet. A little corny I know but cute all the same. The pigges are doing well and getting bigger fatter and have a lot more energy now. we have dial up so pics take too long to post will try and post some from my sisters later this week!
