Question Guinea Pig Baths?

Is it good for guinea pigs to be bathed? And if so what type of shampoo/soap is safe?

Puppy or kitten shampoo ONLY. Or something for small animals. Please don't use human shampoo. Only 1 1/2 in of water in the tub/sink. It's not safe for them to swim.

Omly bathe them when they NEED it. Other than that don't do it. It's very stressful to pigs.

You shouldn't need to do it more than 2 times a year unless you have a long haired!

I got 3 of those! * Hehe Lucky me!!! *

I saw some " 100% natural pet soap being sold at an apple festival today. I didn't buy it, but o you think it would have been okay to use for the 2 times a year when I wash my pigs if I had to?

I have a question about baths too! How do you know if your piggy NEEDS a bath?
Mine smell, but not overly so just the normal "piggy" smell. I do have a white bellied pig and it is slightly tinged yellow, is that a sign of needing a bath? Or is it just if your piggy has just rolled
in poo and you KNOW he's dirty!

Thanks,
Sky
