How many guinea pigs have you had?

For me, I have had a total of 28 guinea pigs. We had 16 baby guinea pigs for about a year but then we gave them away which that was back in 1999. The guinea pigs we kept are named:

Harry (1998 - 2003)
Zuzie (1998 - 2002)
Sweetheart (1999 - 2004, one of the babies that we kept)
Cindy (2001 - 2003)
Taffy (2002 - 2006)
Gary (2003 - 2005)
Roy (2004 - 2008)
Misty (2004 - 2007)
Luigi (2005 - 2006)
Link (2006 - present)
Marth (2006 - present)
Brock (2007 - present)

Those are all of the guinea pigs I have had, how many have you had?

I've had five. The first one I was given when I was around 11 or so. His name was Fonzie, but I don't remember him living all that long. Sadly, that was before internet (and my mom didn't buy me a book or do research), so we didn't know about hay, or the need for fresh veggies. All he got was pellets and the occasional veg, and water. He was also in a small petstore cage with no floor time. I regret all this, but I didn't know.

Thirty years have passed and now I have kids of my own. About 2 or 3 months ago, we got a total of four pigs (one for each of us) from various sources. Their names are: Critter, Gizmo, Pipsqueak and Mouse. They are all girls and range in age from six months to 3 years. These pigs are enjoying being my atonement for Fonzie and are treated like royalty! I know fully understand the term "cavy slave". They are so cute they make all the work worthwhile.

Snickerdoodle (July 2008-July 2008, miss sexed so had to go.)
Tex (Same dates and problem as his brother, Snickerdoodle.)
Parsley (October 30-Present. My new baby girl. )

Snickerdoodle and Tex are the ones in my avatar in case anyone was curious. Tex is the one on the left and Snickerdoodle is on the right. They were sweet. I sure miss them.

well me and my sis had one like 18 years ago, after 3 weeks it was given away

and Cocoa, new one, got on Halloween

reason, a dwarf bunny passed away about 5 days ago... bonnie would not eat so I got her a new friend, they are great together

I've had cats, dogs, and hamsters before, but never guinea pigs. Brown Sugar is my first, and Sylvester my second. I sure learned alot with these two boys.

I have 10:

My males - Nibbles, my three legged Pig, Brownie, Lumbert. These were the first three saved from a 1x2 Tupperware bin; they now live in a 2x6 C&C. The next to come were Othello, and his runt brother Kermit who have known nothing but a 2x5 C&C home. And I just adopted Iggy and Oscar who're aggressive and will have to figure out how best to mix them in because I'd hate for them to be solitary Pigs. In my bunch Nibbles is King of his clan and Othello bullies Kermit.

My females - "Mama" just died in August. Molly is sister to Kermit and Othello and daughter to "Mama". I also recently obtained from the local dog shelter, Cocoa and her daughter Cinammon who had some serious issues and are now being treated for Giradia.

A side note: The unique names of some of your Guinea Pigs is pretty awesome! Very creative! Parsley's name gave me the idea for the Vegetable named Pigs, Parsley, Romain, Carrot Top, Dandelion, Pepper ... haha, now wouldn't that be something?

I have 2, Boxey and Emerelda. Esmerelda is my newest one. My husband found her about two days after Pixie passed. She is spoiled rotten. We just introduced her and Boxey. All went well until we put them in the Cand C. Boxey bit Esme's ear and put a hole in it, but everything has been fine since. I guess Boxey just wanted Esme to know she was queen.

nkWait, sharon, you adopted the pigs of the lady who was in a robbery? I remember they were in New York and were named Iggy and Oscar...

There has been 13 guinea pigs in my life, but not all of them were mine.

Cutie (sister), Tiny (mine), Tony (mine), Tommy (sisters), Tammy (moms), their 5 babies who were rehomed to my friend and now my three, Nugget, Goofball, and Precious.
