Of course, I make sure the fridge is blocked so they can't get behind it. You can get the play pens at Wal-mart for about $10 a piece, and if you buy multiples, you can link them together to get one large play area.
would you mind emailing me a picture of the playpens? i can't get a sense of them and they sound like a great solution! thanks! susan

If you dont want to shop at pet stores (like many of us) both of these products can be found at petdiscounters.com which is not associated with pet stores and is much cheaper.

There is this kind which is 12 inches high

or this kind which is 9 inches high (I have 2 of this kind and I LOVE them! I also use extra grids from my C and C cage and zip tie them so I can fold and unfold them and use those for a play pen)

Theyre only supposed to be used at play pens, not cages. Hrmm where did those pictures go, for some reason I cant see them. My computer must be on the fritz.

Well, I dont so much know about things that are organic or natural, but C and C cages are absolutely the BEST! Youre piggy will feel like a queen or king. Normal cages just dont have enough room. Check out this site www.guineapigcages.com You may be able to use the same concept only with recyclable material.
