Green beans?

Does anyone know if green beans are alright for guinea pigs to eat? My sister downloaded an online book about guinea pigs (piggie secrets) and it says that they are poisonous. There is also a pamphet from Petsmart about guinea pigs that the same information.

It says on this link that you can give your piggy green beans a couple of times per week.
