Young Piggie Housing Advice

We have 5 two week old piggies (the two mothers that we, unfortunately, bought from a pet store were already pregnant). After they were born we extended the sides of the cage up for safety. My question is, at what point/age can we take the sides back down to the normal 6" height?

Guinea pigs grow very fast, at about 6 weeks you should be safe with normal grids. However, you need to seperate the boys from the girls at age 3 weeks, or you might end up with more pregnant pigs! At 6 weeks, you still need to babyproof. You have to gage how big they are/get but usually after 6 months or so, but some petite pigs have been known to get stuck.

Have you sexed the babies? You needed to remove any males at 3 weeks.
