i've been around pets all my life so i think i know what to do. nothing yall say is going to stop me. i came on this website for simple information and i get my a** chewed out bcuz there aint one near me to be adopted. k i have always wanted a guinea pig and after my cat baby died my parents said i could get ONE. you know when i asked em for 2 they yelled at me cause i was a spoiled brat that wanted more "mouths to feed". Yeh im a pet lover more that anything in the world i have resqued a bunch of cats and dogs that were dumped in local oil fields. I have spent the past 3 weeks looking up guinea pigs nonstop. so is it my fault that there are none near me other than in petco NO! and I'm getting a guinea pig for my birthday. so anyway i'm going on vacation camping now with my resqued pets. i cant wait to hear wat s*** yall got to say bout this

honestly from how you are wording everything, you seem like you are trying to pick a fight. My dad isn't leting me get a guinea pig (as of yet, I'm trying to break him down) and if I get them, and I mean then as a PAIR. I will be happy.
If I am told, "One bout from a pet store" I will say forget about it, I don't want unhappy, sick, or pregnant piggies.
And I am a teen as well. I have wanted a guinea pig for almost 8 years, so if i have to wait until I move out in 2 years, then Ill get a pair then.

Exactly. And when you have to pay $1000 in emergency vet charges, or have to give them surgery, we'll be here.
And don't say "well I can take them back to PetCo" because that makes everyone think you are a very malicious person. And you wouldn't want that, would you?

While you buy that sickly guinea pig others are dying in the shelter! Instead of putting 4 more little BABIES in misery you could adopt or wait for a piggie to arrive at Petco for FREE!

You will be buying crappy food such as Kaytee and puny little over priced cages. FYI EVERYTHING Petco sells is a fattening death sentence for your guinea pig!

Many people think the same way as you... you need to help the piggies in your surronding area instead of BUYING a living, breathing, creature who the store takes their lives as a chance to get money! Adopting is better!

Tons of guinea pigs die because people who think JUST like you buy those little things and buy buy buy more things just to support more miserable piggies! One guinea pig saves 4 babies...

Think things through before you tell people off that you are going to BUY a guinea pig on a RESCUE orientated site!
