I am having problems tonight posting all of my pictures. Everytime I post a pic, somehow the computer erases what I've written, so I apologize if this ends up to be really long.

For the fourth time---

This is Sylvester's cage. It is a basic, and boring 2x4 cage. I didn't do a whole lot to it, because in a few weeks, he'll be moving to a different cage with his big brother.

I was going to use Brown Sugar's cage, but OMG, he made a HUGE mess! I tried to pick up all the hay, poop, and food crumbs, but my fingers wouldn't pick it all up. So I cleaned up Sylvester's cage as best as I could. Both cages need to be stripped, but I'm not going to do that until tomorrow.

Anyway, here's what I do for Sylvester.

To make his hidey hut out of fleece, first I pin one piece of fleece to both corners, using clothes pins.

Then I pin another piece of fleece to the top, and let the front drop over. I also use clothes pins for this too.

I like making their hidey huts out of fleece, because I like to sanitize it in the washing machine with hot water, and bleach.

Here's what it looks like now.

One last pic.

Not my night for electric stuff. I went to set the alarm clock for work tomorrow, and I dropped it.

But here's the shell of they're permanent cage. It's a 2x7. We're not done with it yet. We're thinking of raising it off the ground, and adding storage space underneath it. Will post more pics as we work on the cages.

I would LOVE to see some of you guys' cages!

again, sorry for the problems with the pics!

Sylvester, and daddy/cavy slave - fell asleep on the couch, watching t.v.

He tries to do this with Brown Sugar, but he won't snuggle with daddy slave, because Brown Sugar is a mama's boy. YAAAY!

I have those same foam mats, Babys Mom! I have about 8 of them and they are 2ft by 2 ft. I plan on using them in my basement for floor time and just covering half of the entire floor for Oscar. I dont have very many cage pictures but Ill post what I have and take more tomorrow after I clean out his cage. Ill have to give some before and after pictures of the front storage area since I bought little blue cloth storage bins to get rid of all the clutter.

Oscar in his cage next to his home-made cuddle cup (which I need to make a fluffier version of) and his diapers from his pigloo haha.

Over all view, the decorating has changed a bit though.

Front view, this has changed also and is MUCH neater now that I have my handy storage bins.

Oscar hopping out of his hay bin. Sadly, I had to get rid of the bin though since it was messy inside and not washable. I put his hay in his litter box now since he doesnt use it for the intended purposes. It works out really great and no, he still doesnt use it as a bathroom. I think I may put a hay rack in though to save some space.

Amy - I LOVE that cuddle cup!

I need to learn how to make those. Are they easy to clean? By clean I mean, sanitize....

and Oscar is such a cutie pie!

They are SO easy to make and clean. For cleaning, its basically the same as throwing a small pillow into the washing machine. If you want a link for making them I can get it for you. Its super simple to do. Im going to make him another one and stuff it with some CareFresh bedding instead of stuffing. It cant be washed in that case since the stuffing will absorb water etc but I think itll be safer to keep in the cage if he decides to chew it. I think what I may do is put a zipper in the back so if the cup needs washed, I can just remove all the bedding from inside, wash just the fabric and then restuff.

Oh also, in the second picture in the bottom right corner you can see the cuddle cup standing upright. I tilted the lip down so he can hop in and out easily.
