New to forum
Hello im new to this forum but not to the other forum on guineapigcages.com. I wanted to share the love I have given for my girls. I have three sows. Heres their names and Stories.
Montrey - Shes a two year old abby mix. Shes our baby. We love her to much to explain. She loves to munch on any type of veggie that lands in her face. She doesn't enjoy the vets office that much, she loves to scream at the vet. hehe. She wheeks loudly when she wants attention or some more, fresher, timothy or pellets. She enjoys the one hour floor time in the bathroom. We give her apples, baby carrots, bell peppers, and lettus. She enjoys lettus and bell peppers the most. We still haven't tried anything else. We got Montrey and her 'sisters' a C&C cage on February 2, 2007. They have fallen in love with the cage, as have I. I do have pigtures, but not on this site yet. I will be sure to post on this thread some new pigtures. I know how much pig lovers enjoy them.
Faith - She is a five year old teddy bear agioti (sorry If that is mispelled). She is a fatty. Shes brown in color with soft wirey fur. She is just adorable, and very healthy for her age. She has slowed down some since we first got her, but not to much. She still enjoys a few runs a day with her 'sisters'. I love to watch her and Spot rampage the cage in a misleading way. Faith, in other words, is trying to get Spot to be a "bad piggy". Faith has what we call a "piggy scense of humor". Shes always playing hide and seek jokes with us. She blends in with her surrondings and its almost impossible to hunt her down during floor time, or when I use brown or black fleece! Sometimes when I pull up the hidey houses I think she just vanished. Then I remember im using diffrent colors of fleece and feel around for her. She is usually not hard to find once shes near the coroplast. Shes very outgoing. If you rearrange her cage, and she doesn't like it, she will let you know. She will move everything into one great big pile in the middle of the cage. (two hidey houses, one cozy, one basket for the cozy, food bowl, timothy rack, and tunnels) I will then have to move everything until Faith likes it. Shes brillent pig in my eyes. We had to zip tie the water bottle holder down to the cage due to the water bottle falling out onto the girls every five seconds after they would ram it at high piggy speeds!
Spot - Spot is a one and a half month old unknown pig breed. She has dalmation spots, and is just adorable. She came to us at four weeks old. It was a great moment. We haven't had her long. We adopted her February 10, 2007. It was love at first sight. She has a more shy personality. When I first adopted her from her previous owner she was so very skinny. She hadn't been eating at all. After a quick vet check we figured out she, and the other gals, had URI and eye infections. We got their medication and they healed up nicely. Spot has gained half a pound since shes been with me, no shes not pregnant. She has been eating her timothy, veggie, and pellet diet and has been gaining weight and is now up to regular weight. We are so proud of little Spot. She was much happier when she converted from the aquarium to the C&C cage. Much bigger, and much cleaner, and had very nice, mother-like, piggies in it. My girls took to Spot immediatly. Spot loved Faith at first glance. It was magic. Yes I did forget to quarentine. Unfortunatly. I should have, and will in the future if any more piglets come in here. Spot has the adventerous mind. Shes always looking for trouble or spots to play. She is such a cuddle bear when you get her out of the cage. I get her out for aprox an hour daily. I don't hold her if she has a fast heart rate. That means me catching her stressed her out.
well hope you enjoyed my piglet story. Thanks for viewing.
