Default Intro Of Myself

Well my name is Michelle and i am from Johnstown,pa

i have two guinea pigs they are 3 and 4 months old, their names are
sqeekers and guinie ( thats how i spell her name ). they are both very
lovable animals and love to be out and play and get their exercise during
their out of the cage time.i enjoy having them in my home as my pets,it
helps with my day to day stresses and comforts me when i need comfort.
im looking into possibly becoming a rescue home for guinea pigs in my
area. this is because i've looked for one and there is none and if any of you
can tell me how i can get that started up please email me at mchapman1195@aol.com

Welcome to the forum.

Here is a link with info about starting a rescue Guinea Lynx :: Topic - Adopt, Support or Start a Rescue, Report Abuse, Petfinder

Please don't do this lightly. It is not an easy thing to accomplish. It's easy enough to find GPs to rescue but quite another to be able to afford to house them all, keep up with cleaning, feeding and care, affording vet treatment and medications and it is most difficult of all to find loving, knowledgeable and devoted homes for the animals. After all, you don't want to give them to just anyone and have them get neglected or dumped again. The burden of it causes many rescuers, even the very best, to burn out.

Think about it carefully. You have yourself as well of the animals to think about. If you get yourself in too deep and start burning out then everyone, including the animals, suffer as well.

More power to you, and good luck. But maybe start with just one or two rescued guinea pigs?
