painful losses

Hi again, I posted a thread in this room about my piggie Bosco who died on November 25th and I'm still reallly upset over losing him, I kind of thought I was a wimp for missing him and hurting this much and then I read a lot of the threads here about people who feel just as bad years later and it makes me feel better, I guess once a piggie steals your heart they always takes a part with them. I guess the reasons it hurts me so much is that when I left him at the emergency vet I told him I'd be there first thing in the morning and he died hours later and I never got to say goodbye, and also I wonder because he always hated going to the vet if this time when I left him there for overnight treatment if he thought I was leaving him for good.

It's hard to loose any pet. They steal your heart, and you love them everyday because you take care of them.

Most animals hate the vet. It's okay to miss your guinea pig.

I think even though you did say that to him, he felt that you were coming back. He didn't pass away unloved.

I am going through the same thang that you are going through right know. My gunea pig got sick a few week ago and I took him to the vet because he had a little bit of a cold. they put him on medication and I thought he was getting better but he wasn't. he died yesterday on new years day and i about loss it when it did happen. nothing prepared be for this to happen and I keep tinking that i could have did something more to help him to keep him alive. I really do miss him it seems weard now that he is not here. I keep finding myself crying every time I think about him and it is hard.
