After numerous attempts to feed and comfort our ailing girl, our Yammers passed away this evening. She was actually a replacement piggy after our 1st one named Yamsi, passed away back in 2003. She was 5 years old. She is survived by her 'sisters' Maggie(aged 6) and Aebi(aged 4). We will miss our daredevil who would try to climb her mini-fences just to get away and be silly(Yamsi was equally rambunctious).
I asked her, soothing her as the end came near, that I hoped she would get to see her other 'sisters' who have passed before her, and thanked her for these wonderful years.
We thought it was a very sad, but supportive passing, because we did not separate her from her 'sisters'. Aebi snuggled up with her one last time while she slipped away, and Maggie licked her face. It was more peaceful than we could have hoped for.
So she was thanked for her life not only by you, but by her sisters as well - so lovely. I wish we could all pass amidst so much love.
She is probably playing with Yamsi over the rainbow bridge right now.
