Unhappy In memory of buddy.

Poor darling bud was only 2.5 years old to the day when he died.

My youngest son, joseph, droped My youngest daughter Mary's guinea about five feet off of her bed.
Buddy was a Pure bred Abyssinian and was pretty enough to stop a show.

I'm afraid Mary got over buddy too quickly. Maybey because she saw an add for an Aby-American on the interweb at petsmart... He was a lovely guinea, and shortly after being dubbed Buddy jr. Mary picked up the freshly weened BJ and noted the checker pattern of black-white on his chest that she wished she had named him check...

I am sorry for your loss. I know how you feel. I have had a few guinea pigs die before from old age and medical problems.

I'm so sorry. What a horrible experience. Hopefully all learned not to let the kids handle the pigs without adult supervision, especially in such an unsafe place as a bunk bed.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. while building a cage one of our baby guineas found her way out through a hole in the side of the cage and when she jumped we actually thought that she died cuz she wasn't moving. When we picked her up though she was just terrified and when we brought her to the vet we thought that she hurt herself pretty severly as she ws dragging her back legs, we found out she actually broke her back and her back right leg. The doctor gave us a 5-10% chance that she would get feeling back in her back and that she would be able to take care of herself as she got older. Well on Sunday we were having a baby shower and Next thing I know I'm lookin in the cage and she's pushing off with her back legs! it was crazy.. I was so extremely excited! Today when we went to the vet she grew from 109 g to 166 grams and she is 15 days old. I couldn't ask for a more quickly healing and amazing guinea!

No, I was shoping for aspen bedding and food, My oldest was watching the kids but I suppose he let joe run off... and the bed was not a bunk bed, just a really big queen size.
