Default In memory of Junior and Butterscotch

I'll have to look for a pic later, as they were on my old pc, I know I have one printed out somewhere... But I wanted to dedicate this thread to my wonderful first pigs. Junior was the first to go, and I think that it was the stress of moving from Ky to Missouri. I got up to feed them one morning and he was just lying there, gone. And then shortly after Butterscotch went too. I think he died of lonliness. He was sooo depressed after Junior passed. He refused to eat, drink, or play anymore. There were no signs of illness prior to all of this so I just don't know what else it could have been. But I swore I'd never own a pig again, they are too fragil I thought, and I get too attatched. But here I am, in love again. And while I love my new pig, I'll never forget my first pigs. I love you guys!

Applelady, I know how you feel. After my last little girl died around Mother's Day last year, (she outlived her cage mate by more than a year) I swore no more pigs. You become so attached to them and they live such a short life compared to other pets. I was totally depressed. I threw everything out. Well, three months later, I was buying all new stuff to bring home new little ones. I know now I just can't live without them. Each one is so different from the next one and always a delight. While they will never replace those you have lost, they fill that spot with all the delight only a guinea pig can bring.

I am also thankful for all the wonderful information out there on the Internet, because each time I learn more and more and hopefully give the next generation of pigs a new and better life than the last one.
