Default Zane - 4 days old

I rescued a family of guinea pigs, mommy had 6 babies, two were killed by father (I never got to know them, they were killed before I was able to rescue them), and Zane was one sick piggy. He passed away this morning (March 29, 2007) at about 1:30 am. I was doing my best to keep him alive, his mother refused him. I have two pictures of him while he was alive, and two of him in the casket I made for him. I will not post the last two. I buried him in my garden, and I am at peace knowing that he is no longer sick or in any pain. Mother and her remaining 3 babies are doing great by the way.

That is so sad. I'm so sorry. I don't know what I'd do, but I think you handled it well. I love the casket idea. I'm sure he's a lot better now. No longer in pain. RIP little piggy.

I'm sorry.

Those pics may be too graphic for some people. Or warning may be nice since there are young people here. Maybe you should edit it to links?

Rabbits above me...don't worry about them...they get everyone's behind and like to make you feel like a piece of crap so please disregard.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Always hard to loose a loved one.

Glad the other three are doing well along with Momma.

Sure am. Maybe you should take into consideration that everyone isn't quite as intelligent and knowledgeable as you are and be a little nicer to everyone instead of constantly putting people down about anything you can think of. I've been into a couple different threads and I haven't seen a nice post about anything from you.

I just think instead of criticizing people for not knowing you should be a little kinder and help them learn. I think that would help out alot more pigs. People are alot more susceptible to things they are told nicely and people trying to HELP them instead of being talked to like they are stupid and should have known better. Having a pet is a learning experience someone with your knowledge of Guinea Pigs could sure help a lot of people out if you'd treat them like their IQ was more than 70.
