Mabel passed away today.

Hi, I know this site is all about Guinea Pigs so I hope no one minds me making a post in memory of Mabel. She was the most beautiful rabbit, totally lovable and affectionate and always happy to see you, with the most stunning glossy black coat. She also only had one eye, so those of you who know about Bram, probably think I must like one eyed animals but it is always the animal who chooses me Honest!

I was lucky enough to adopt her from a local rescue centre well over nine years ago when she was already fully grown, so we were never really sure of her age, but I think she had quite a good life.
Even though you sort of half expect it when any animal gets older, I was totally unprepared emotionally. Especially as she had been eating and drinking normally and really enjoyed her daily run around the garden this afternoon. Then at six thirty, when I took her veggies, she had past. Not even two hours after I had last held her.
So I am still coming to term with the fact she has gone, and even though I was able to love her for such a long time, it still doesn't seem long enough!

It's a little late, but im very sorry aboout your bunny. It's always hard to lose a baby. Im sure she was much loved!!

So sorry about your baby. It's so hard to lose the little guys but I can't imagine life without them. Rest in peace little Mabel. You will be missed.
