girl and boy in same cage

We just found out that one of our adorable guinea pigs is in fact a boy. they do love each other (siblings) and now we must seperate them. Does any one have an idea what kind of cage We can buy so they can see each other but not actually be together?

Build a coroplast and cube cage for them and then you can put a divider in it so that they can still see,smell and talk to each other but they can't get to each other to mate. That's what we did with Coco&Chloe

thanks for your help. Do you have a photo of chloe and coco's coroplast cage. Is it on a table or on the floor? My daughters like to take them out so I would need to have it elevated. thanks for your help.

How old are your daughters? Are they old enough to understand not to let the guinea pigs play together (during floor or lap time, etc.) or might it eb safer to neuter the male?

If I were you, I would get the male neutered and then (3 weeks after the operation) allow them back together. They will be happier and you won't have to have 2 separate cages taking up room.
