It occurs to me, I haven't told you about my new pig!

Her name is JingJing and she's a black and white Teddy. She's a bit skittish, but she's getting better. I hope to have pictures soon.

Thank you! She looks vaguely like a panda so I named her after this year's Olympic mascot that is supposed to be a panda. Her middle name is Oreo because her head and her butt are black, but her middle is white.

I love that name too it is great. Oh and cavyslave8, I love that photo of Lin Ling she looks like Boofhead. He is Black and white also, sometimes I call him Boo Boo Not as good as Jing Jing or Ling Ling though. We considered calling Boofhead, Panda or Pandy at first, but he got stuck with Boofhead instead.

I recently purchased a new guinea pig after losing a baby piggy only after 2 weeks i bought it from the mall. BAD CHOICE!!! This time around i was trying to find a breeder or someone in my area to adopt but nobody was any aid so i ended up going to petco and buying my lovely little princess..Darla "Toot" i love her to death but it scares me how she hasnt been able to eat romaine or orange slices.. i wonder if shes still shy......

Welcome minjaresk. Lovely photo. You can ask any questions on this forum. I am so glad I found it. It saved the life of my little Beanie.

You should start your own link on Introduce yourself. You will get all the help you need. There are so many experts here (not me I am a novice) But I would take her to the vet for a check up. If there is aproblem with her molars, it will need to be addressed quickly. They can loose weight very quickly. Like my Beanie, and it took me 8 weeks to find a vet that could help him.

It is always best to get them checked out by a vet when they are new anyway.

My Beanie stopped eating hard food at first then eventually he couldn't eat at all. It turned out to be his molars that had overgrown.

But it sounds like your little girl is just shy beacaiuse she is in a new enviroment. I hope she is healthy. I am sure she will probably setel after a few days. Good luck.
