Default Ionic Breeze Warning

I'm not sure if it was in this forum, or a different one that I was reading that people were getting ionic breezes to get rid of pet smell. Please read this article Urgent News about the Ionic Breeze Air Purifiers by Sharper Image

It turns out that ionic breeze and many "air purifiers" give off ozone, which can be an irritant, or worse case scenario, can cause cancer.

This product is not good for humans or pets. Please research any air purifier before you buy it.

I never thought of buying an air purifier. We moved the guinea pigs down to den and there is more air circulation. As long as we clean the cages on time, there usually isn't any smell except timothy hay! The whole house smells like timothy hay every morning!

Thanks for the info.

I love the smell of my guinea pigs. Mind, I clean their cage nearly every day. They have a fan (out of harms way of course) and far enough away not to give them a chill.

Wow i never thought that they were THAT harmful....thats really interesting considering mothers tend to buy air purifiers for their newborns. Cancer seems to just pop up everywhere with what virtually seems like anything... interesting post!

I find this interesting. We do not use an air purifier at home, however we have two in our office at work. Kind of scary.

I don't have an ozone creator, but I have lots of air filters running. It helps keep down the dust and pollen which we are allergic to. I used to want an ionic breeze, but after reading this article, NO WAY. Thank you so much!

That's really scary. We have two ionic breeezes in our office at work. They bought them to help with the mold problem. I wonder which is worse? :-)
