Fans
Hey everyone!! Hope your 4th was safe. I am in Maine and it is hotter than the hinges here (98 degrees today). Is it okay to put a couple fans on my 3 piggies? They are about 6 feet away.

Re: Fans
no direct air from the fans...indirectly it is ok, but direct air from a fan will get them sick. Don't you have an AC to keep them cool? If not, the best thing is to freeze water bottles and put them in there, and also buy a couple of bricks for them to lay on to keep them cool.

Re: Fans
Yeah, we have an AC, but it isn't in yet. The fans are oscillating. I will freeze some water. I don't have any frozen water yet though.

Re: Fans
I have two fans in my room for the piggies, indirectly. It keeps them cool on hot days, today was around 90.

Re: Fans
Thank you, he is about 7 years old and is 90% blind, but gets along just fine. He squeaks if he left out of anything and is the 3rd piggy I ever got. Now I run a rescue and have over 50 pigs. He is one of the "mascots" of our rescue and is part of our logo for our rescue.
Your pigs look also quite cute. He also prefers handsome...not cute..lol, funny little piggies!

Re: Fans
Oh my gosh!! I would love to have more...but it wouldn't be fair to them because my place isn't big enough. It is so funny..when I ask my piggies if they want grass and then I walk out the door to get it, Mikey squeals and squeals..I am laughing and smiling as I pick the grass because I can hear him...and there are no pesticides on our lawn. They crack me up!!!

Re: Fans
Yes, fans are fine if they aren't pointing directly on the pigs.
