Cats and piggies

I would think that getting a baby kitty wouldn't hurt. The whole reason my cat likes piggies is because she was 6 weeks when we rescued her and we had 5 piggies at the time.

All of you members with the long haired avatars are making me soooo jealous! They are all so beautiful and I want one of my own. Patience...

Thank you for your personal account about your kitty and your piggies. I appreciate knowing that cats and guinea pigs can and do co-exist in harmony.

As for the long-haired guinea pigs... both of my girls (tri-colored Peruvian(?) and gray Abby) are from the same pet store, purchased about 6 months apart. Unfortunately, they do not tell you anything about the specific breed of the animal. The papers only say "Guinea Pig". I never knew that guinea pig rescues even existed until I found this site, and am grateful for the all of the valuable information I am able to gather. I especially love to see all the Piggy pics.

I would keep checking the adoption ads on this site. Perhaps you will find a long-haired breed there.

Thank you! I have NEVER seen a long haired piggie in a pet store... they seem to be soo lazy and uncaring that they don't want the responsibility of taking a long haired in.

My cat and piggies were just playing earlier! They are soo cute.
