I am having my roommate watch them not the best care, but I will spoil them when I come back! I am going to Ely, MN to go camping! But I do have a problem? I had the piggies seperated because they were fighting. Well NIN and Mojo would still fight, which is weird because they never fought when I first got them. Mojo is doing great by the way. Well in the process of trying to rearrange the cage so every one could get along, they got injuries galore Mojo got his ear nipped. Crazy has a tooth hole in his side and porcy got a bloody lip. It was indane trying to fix all the piggies. I split the cage into 3's, I had porcy farthest away from Mojo and NIN and Crazy was in the middle. Everything was ok, but Mojo would still try to nip at NIN when he walked by. Then I put Porcy in the middle; the cage went crazy. Every one chattering and scooting and every thiing else. With my two new ones being so young and I am no expert, I think Porcy is a she! I mean why else would the cage go bisirk like that? So now I have a problem. I am not for sure what sex Porcy is, but I know none of them get along when he/she is near the cage. So what can I do? Plus if she is a she she might be pregnant! I don't want to keep her out of their room, then she will be lonely, but I can't have her in there and have chaos. She has been in my room the last two nights, and the boys are still scuffling, but no biting at least! Any suggestions?

I would keep them separated until you know exactly what gender Porcy is. If she is a girl, then I would either neuter the boy she likes most and keep them together, or get another female. If Porcy is a boy, then maybe the piggies need to work on being more social with each other. I only have my one piggy, but this is my opinion.

I'd say watch anybody who got bit to make sure they don't develop an abcess.

Is an abcess like an infected bite or something? I looked it on guinealyx but they were constructing the page.

I actually spelled it wrong. That should be "abscess." It's a place of infection that feels like a lump and is filled with pus. Sometimes they develop when a pig is bitten by another pig and bacteria get in the wound. According to Lynx's Lumps page, "due to the cheesy nature of guinea pig pus, abscesses require complete removal or cleaning and daily flushing."
