Question Help! My piggies are chattering!

I became a "Cavy slave" in January. I adopted 2 very cute brothers who were about 1 month old. They have been together ever since they were born. I built them a nice big C & C cage with all sorts of toys. We noticed in the beginning one always mounting the other, which we figured out was a dominance thing. That quickly diappeared as they matured. Everything seemed to be going just fine as they adjusted to us and their environment, Suddenly within the past 2 weeks they have been chattering their teeth at each other and today one actually showed his teeth at the other. We have put a divider in their cage (the wire that the cage is made out of) for fear that they may hurt each other. Where do I go from here, keep them divided forever? We attempted to take the divider down for a bit and the chattering started again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

That's normal. Have you read Guinea Pigs Social Life ?

Your guinea pigs are the same age and both going through adolescence. I wouldn't separate unless there is blood shed.

Yes. Just wait it out. My piggie chatters/clicks every time something happens that she doesn't like.

It's not unusual for piggies to chatter at each other -- it's a sign of annoyance or frustration, if you will. My bonded pairs still sometimes get into arguments over who gets the "best" pigloo (since they're all the same, I'm not sure what constitutes best), etc. As long as there's no blood shed, I would allow them to work it out.

Thank you to everyone who has answered. So it sounds like I should just put them back together and see what happens. Okay, then the wall will come down. Thanks again
