What other pets do you have?

Wow, that's alot of hernit crabs! I also rescued my cat Saphire, djja9800, as a stray. She was about to be attacked by a dog so I jumped over the fence, got her, and got back over the fence. My mom absolutely adores calicos so I showed her and she said we could keep her! She just turned 5 a few months ago.

My Lola is a calico. A chubby lazy lapcat. The house we got her from was infested with fleas and just nasty. She was infested with fleas, her teeth were rotted and she was skinny. She is such a sweet yet timid girl. She doesn't really trust anybody but me. She's my baby.

Milkshake is a plain brown tabby. Such a common cat yet there is something about him that just melts your heart. We found him outside. He was so boney and the fleas, ugh. We've had him a year now and he's working his way up to chubby. He's so laid back that almost nothing phases him. He's a great cat to have around kids because he's so patient.

Have I mentioned that I adore my cats? I could talk about them all day long. lol

I think it's just calicos in general that are shy. My calico only trusts me and my sister. She hates strangers and runs at the site of *dun dun dun* the vacum cleaner.

You certainly have alot of Hermit Crabs! I never had a Hermit Crab but I actually had a Hamster named Zelda.

Most of them were friends I had that didn't wan't them anymore or were going to kill them... so I took them in!

Since everyone is talking about thier cats, I feel compelled to share the story of my cat, Sadie.
Sadie was only a kitten when she landed in the humane society after a family bought her for there 3 year old daughter who, in turn, didnt want her. Our other cat, Jessie who was a stray, passed away 3 weeks earlier and so my family decided to go to the humane society to get a new cat. Automatically, my parents so this little grey and white ball of fur and decided to bring her home. When we initially got Sadie, she was actually on the small side and had fleas. Some how over the course of 7 years, Sadie has ballooned to a 24 pounds and now runs the house and bosses the dog around. We've tried to put her on a diet numerous times but when she is hungry she has no problem biting your feet in an attempt to get food. Anyways, enough of me rambling. I just thought maybe you all would find the story of a 24 pound cat a little interesting.

Wow she's a big girl! My grandma's male cat used to weigh that much but she refused to give him extra food so he would get healthier and now his cat mate is fat. lol

I was outside feeding Booger when I seen a beautiful cat hiding under the neighbors car. I've seen this cat before but not up close so I tried to get closer. I pretended I has something in my hand for her and she smelled it while I got a better look at her. Once she relized I had nothing she scooted back into the shadow. She was beautiful! She has no home, she is a stray. The BEST part is, she's a calico! My mom can't resist calicos! I will talk to her later about trying to get her to trust us so we can adopt her. She is the strangest calico I've seen though. She is a gray and orange tabby mixed with white thrown in there. But the strange part is, it's all mixed together like one color but a few spots only one color. But she was adorable. I'm thinking of a name for her already. Even if we don't adopt her we still feed her, so she needs a name.

Woo hoo! I just talked to my mom and she said she wants to see her first! I think that a yes. It looks just like the cat that she grew up with so I think she will take it in. That cat lived for 16 years and my mom actually grew up with her so I think she will feel attached to this cat somehow.

I am allergic to cats too...I hate allergies!!! Still we had a cat until he got lost back home. My hubby used to clean the apt everyday before I came back from work, so I wouldn't sneeze so much, and I had to change clothes and wash my hands after petting him...LoL!

The only pets I am not allergic to are Dogs and Fish!!! LOL
