Hey Amy!

That's great to hear about Oscar's check up. Go Oscar!

In case you might have missed it, here's a great link that I always use in order that my babies get enough variety in their diet:

Oscar seems to be munching those veggies down! I have a question, is it ok to give piggies lettuce? Thanks!

If you're asking about plain iceberg lettuce, there's no nutritional value at all for piggies or humans in it. The dark leafy greens are best. Check out the link I posted and it will give you an idea of what leafy greens are best for your piggy.

Any but iceburg are good for them, but only 1-2 leaves a day because they cause loose stool

Amy- I saw you mentioned something about the water bottle. Has Oscar started drinking from it yet?

I had a similar problem with Spike. Believe it or not, it was the BOTTLE that was the problem. It works, but it had a ball-bearing with a spring behind it instead of the traditional ball-bearing or double ball-bearing. Spike outright refused to drink from the spring bottle. But he liked the more expensive, double ball-bearing glass bottle. That might be the problem.

Nope, he still hasnt drank from it yet. Im not terribly concerned about it since he tinkles ALL the time and gets alot of water from his breakfast and dinner veggies but I would still like to have a bottle he will use. Right now, I have an All Living Things water bottle. As far as I know, it doesnt have a spring. From what I can tell, it has the sipping tube and one bearing that can move freely around in the tube--gravity is what keeps it down and when I push it with my finger water will come out. I think Im going to try one of the old bottles I have that is a different style and if that isnt successful, Ill buy a Lixit bottle since Ive heard good things about them.

Oscars picky and spoiled so I have no doubt that if he doesnt like that bottle he wont use it. He has about a million different toys to play with and doesnt use any of them expect for his pigloo. He gets tons of time on the floor and just sits there and stairs at me as if he wants to say "Ok..What, do you want me to do tricks or something?" I bring him his food and hes too lazy to move from his cuddle cup to get it. Needless to say, I pick each peice of food up and feed it to him out of my hand. If Im too slow at getting the next piece of food he will begin to get fussy and spin around in his cuddle cup. He doesnt wheek for veggies since I carry them to him or carry him to them. He sleeps on diapers so that any tinkle will get absorbed since I dont want my baby to be wet. I spend more on his grocceries than I do my own. Im extremely OCD (yes, clinicly diagnosed) so I poop scoop atleast 4 times a day so he never has to worry about and poop even touching his little fur. Sometimes I wonder if he is over-spoiled but in the end, after all he has been through before, I figure he really deserves to be pampered. I am whipped by my little Oscar haha.
