I need HELP! my male & female piggies...

my male and female guinea pigs accidentally 'hooked up' last night. I broke up the party almost immediately, so I do not know if the little fella was able to "close the deal." How soon will I know if our female guinea pig has become knocked up?

by the way, the male (Neville) is going to get neutered tomorrow.
I hope it's not too late.

You won't be able to tell until near the end of the pregnancy unless you get her to a vet. The vet won't be able to tell this soon either but may be able to tell you more in a couple of weeks using exam and xrays.

Remember to keep the male separated from her for 3 weeks after the neuter to insure all of his sperm dies off. If she's not pregnant the last thing you want is for him to impregnate her after the neuter.

we weren't able to tell that our recent adopted piggie was pregnant until about 2 weeks before she had the babies.....
