I have a C&C alternative cage. It's made from 100% recycled materias - Old coroplast political signs and reused wire shelving.

I will never, ever again have any of my animals in store bought cages again. The animal love the space and I love the ease of cleaning.

I have 2! They're great fun to build and remodel.

And I use a set of zip-tied grids outside.

I bought the grids last week on sale & I called around yesterday and found a place to buy the coroplast, I'm gonna get that payday.

All the cages in my rescue are some sort of C&C cage. When I got in 60 pigs last year, we did have to use some petstore cages, but moved them all into C&C's as soon as possible.

That kid, Wheeks, is just too cute.

I just made one. Here is a pic of their first day in a C&C cage. When I adopted them, the both them were in a My First Home cage, and they were starting to fight and were not happy (though they are mother and baby). I promptly built them (after a deperate search on the internet for larger that pet store cages) a 4 x2 two story C and C cage. Cost me less than 100 including the table from Staples, zip ties, fake grass and wood glue for the ramp, and a second home for them to use.

Here is another shot!

Since I switched their cage, they immediately began to popple around and jump up and down (literally!). They are so vocal, constantly, which I hadnt heard the week I had them... before the C&C cage. They are much much happier. They drive my dog nuts because they are so active, all day and all night.

I love your cage design I add bricks in mine in all sorts of arrangements so my piggies can keep their nails trimmed naturally, I have a one story but instead of that coroplast I used painters plastic because i couldn't find coroplast and my cage cost me around $20 but again I love your design!

I can try to add some pictures for you. I have 12 bricks and it seems to be a good number to keep things interesting, if you put 2 on there sides and lay 2 over them in makes for a little cave OH yeah and i have a small to medium terra cotta pot that i turn upside down and put their veggies on so that they have to reach up for their treat which gives them some extra exercise since one is a little chubby. i try with the bricks to arange them to be around 3 layers high because my one LOVES to be up on high places and jump from there and 3 layers is high enough that she can have fun and not get hurt! or i have used them to make like a bridge for them to go across which was cute when they chase each other!
