Hello there, and welcome to the site.

It would be best for you to adopt a guinea pig, instead of buying one. Are there any rescues in your area?

1. Most guinea pigs don't ever need to be bathed. If they need it, use a shampoo formulated for small animals, not a medicated one. If you can't find it, use a non-medicated kitten shampoo. No flea shampoos.

2. Guinea pigs don't eat their young. I suggest you don't breed. The mortality rate with guinea pig births is very high.

3. I suggest you read the Care Guide from Guinea Lynx :: A Medical and Care Guide for Your Guinea Pig . It talks about bedding, and which ones work best.

Yes, I do suggest you research first. If you go online, there are so many great little piggies just waiting to be loved and love back who need to be rescued or adopted. They are all over the place. Maybe it will work out for you even where you are. Guinea pigs really do make wonderful companion pets! Have fun learning about these sweet little guys!
