Bouncing Baby Boy named Turnip
Hi! My name is Turnip.

I was born on July 8th. My mom, and several other guinea pigs were rescued, from a backyard where we were allowed to breed, overpopulate and get sick and injured. A very nice lady heard about me and my extended family and came to rescue us all. Everyone found homes but because my mom was pregnant with us at the time the lady kept her until we could be brought safely into the world. Our mom has a home but now we need someone to look out for us and give us homes too.

I'm an American (smooth hair) Silver and White Agouti. I'm very handsome and very small. I also happen to have an extra toe on each of my back feet (guinea pigs normally have 3 toes on each back foot, I have 4!). I still need to be with my mom for another week but then I'll be ready for a new home (after July 29th)

WAIF insists that we are either adopted out in pairs, all three of us together or we can be adopted as a cage companion for a guinea pig you already have. WAIF insists on this because guinea pigs are social, herd animals and should never be kept alone.

Waif also recommends that you read the http://GuineaPigCages.com and http://GuineaLynx.info websites to learn all about how to properly take care of me

If you and interested in adopting me then please contact the nice people at WAIF to get an adoption application http://waifnola.com or http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/LA212.html
