4 Sweet piggies in need of new homes We got these piggies at different times, the first 2 about 6 months ago, and our last little one about 2 months ago. All our piggies are under 1 year old. My boyfriend had guinea pigs as a child and had no allergy problems with them. But over the years he has developed serious allergies to guinea pigs so we must find new homes for our babies. We simply want to find these guys a new family that will love them as much as we do. We have three girls and one boar that need a new home. All of our piggies are not spayed or neutered.
These guys are our little babies. We would love to adopt these guys to experienced guinea pig owners. For first time owners, please contact me so we can discuss guinea pig care.
The adoption fee for these little guys is $30 per piggie and $40 for a pair. I just want to make sure these guys go only to committed pet owners which is why I am posting an adoption fee.
Each of our piggies will come with a their C&C cage (sizes shown below), their water bottles, food bowls, a bag of their current pellets, a bag of hay, a bag of their yogurt drop treats, and any toys/accessories that they have. Each piggy will also come with their pigloo. Since we have quite a few piggies, we used towels for bedding. You can certainly use Carefresh but it was very costly for us, so we used the towels. The piggies will also come with a set of towels to use for their bedding. Also, we will not ship our piggies so you will need to be within driving distance to adopt our piggies. Our piggies get hay, pellets, oranges, spinach, and yogurt treats daily. You will need to be able to give them the oranges and spinach daily. Also be sure that you do not have hay allergies if you are looking to adopt these piggies.
Ruby and Bambi are our two little chubby piggies. Both are female American guinea pigs. Ruby is a white albino guinea pig and Bambi has light brown fur. These ladies are cage mates and must be adopted together. Neither has given birth to a litter of babies. Since they are about 1 year old, I would not recommend breeding these little girls since it is dangerous to breed the piggies over 6-7 months. These little girls love to eat and are little sweeties. Their cage is a C&C cage that is 27 inches wide and 71 inches long. If you would like to adopt these piggies, you must be able to accommodate this cage size (these guys are adopted now!!!!! yay!!!!)
Puffball is our Abyssinian girl. She is about 1 year old as well and has never given birth to a litter of babies. She also should not be breed since she is over 6-7 months. Puffball is our little hobo piggie. She is multicolored. Puffball loves other piggies but seems to get along better with males than females. She is a little sweetie but can be a little shy and skittish. She can be adopted out alone if you have a waiting female piggie or a neutered male than you can pair her with. You may also adopt her along with Scooter (description is below) but keep in mind that they will need to stay separate until Scooter is neutered. Puffball is in a store bought cage right now. However, I will buy the C&C cage for whoever wants to adopt her. Her cage will be 27 inches by 56 inches. If you adopt her with Scooter, the cage will need to be about 27 inches wide and 112 inches long (or you could put them side by side where it would be 54 inches wide and 56 inches long). Basically double the size since there will be two.
Scooter is our little baby male piggie. He is multicolored, light tan, white, and black. He is a little sweetie. Scooter is an American/Abyssinian mix. His sides are smooth but along his spine the hair is poofy. He looks like he has a little mohawk. Scooter can be adopted out by himself to a waiting piggie or with Puffball. You will need to have a divided cage until he is neutered if you adopt him with Puffball. Scooter is very young and very sweet. For a while we had him with our other piggie Blackie (who is an older boar). Blackie was very territorial so we had to separate them. Scooter does well with other boars, but since the older boars may not get along with him, you would only adopt Scooter by himself if you have a spayed female or another baby male piggie. The cage we have for Scooter at the moment is a store bought cage. I have a cage that is 27 inches by 71 inches that he can be adopted out with if you have another piggie to pair him with. However, I will buy the C&C cage for whoever wants to adopt him with Puffball. The cage will be larger, the cage will need to be about 27 inches wide and 112 inches long (or you could put them side by side where it would be 54 inches wide and 56 inches long). Basically double the size since there will be two.
We have two other piggies, Blackie and Molly who are being adopted to my boyfriend’s parents (if these guys ever need new homes, their information will be posted on this site at a later time).
I was unable to post pictures of these little guys for some reason so please email me if you would like their pictures. I can send several to you via email. You can email me at jmedp786@aol.com.
I will not adopt my piggies out to homes with small children since guinea pigs are so delicate and easily injured. Dropping one could easily break its leg or worse. Thanks for your understanding.
I also will not adopt my piggies to homes with indoor cats, due to the fact that cats love to hunt rodents and my piggies live in an open cage that must be indoors (guinea pigs are sensitive to temperature changes so their cage cannot not be kept outside). Outdoor cats may be ok, but I would really prefer no cats period. Dog owners are ok, but the dogs either should be outdoor dogs or you will need to elevate the cage high enough out of reach of the indoor dogs. The main stipulation is no cats.

Just an update for everyone: Thank you for your interest in my guinea pigs. My boyfriend is getting more allergic by the day. I will be contacting a guinea pig shelter in the area later this week. I will be emailing everyone that I haven't heard back from just to see if you are still interested. Please contact me if you are still interested, but I will be reaching out. All my piggies are still available. Thanks again guys.

Hey Guys! Scooter went to his new home in Tennessee yesterday. He went to a waiting cagemate so we still have Puffball left to be adopted. She is a shy little girl, but she is a sweetie. I will adopt her to a waiting cagemate or you will need to agree to get her a buddy. I think a neutered boar would be a better fit for her, but you could also get another female.
