How to GET CLASSIFIED!

#2. Edit your PROFILE!
Before you can place a listing for adoption, rescue or for sale of safe guinea pig products, you need tell us more about yourself in the appropriate profile. Go to My Profiles to update.
If NOT in the US or CANADA:
#2a. Put yourself on the MAP!
If we don't have a zip or postal code, we need to know about where you are so that we can calculate distances for everyone in the world! Go to Googlemap Members to map yourself! US and Canadian members have the option.
#3. Place a Listing!
Based on which profiles you've completed, you may now Place a Listing! Any member can create a shelter listing AFTER they've created a Googlemap PLACES location for it.

Neutered male needs a new home
Job is relocating me and I can't take my guinea pig. Harry is a very sweet, smart, 3 year old neutered male. He is good with dogs and cats. Favorite snacks are timothy hay cubes and carrots. Comes with 2x4 cube and coroplast cage.

i'm interested in a guinea pig for my 7yr old daughter. What kind of personality does your guinea pig have?does he bite?is he litter box trained? how often do you need to clean his cage? thanks,amanda

Hi Amanda,
Harry is very sweet. He doesn't bite. You can do anything to him, like check his teeth, cut his nails or bathe him and he is wonderful. He goes in the litter box but also tends to do his business in his house/bed. I clean his cage twice a week. The first time is just refreshing the litter box, the second is changing his towel and bed and then wiping down the coroplast with a 1/2 vinegar, 1/2 water solution. Taking care of a guinea pig is a lot of work. They do not have a natural smell like some animals, but their urine can smell and it's a lot stronger to his nose than ours. That's why I clean him often. FYI...the timothy hay cubes are not just for his pleasure but also for his teeth. Guinea pigs teeth continue to grow so they need things to knaw on. I have a chewing cube in his cage as well. He loves carrots and will squeal really loud when he hears the refridgerator opened! : ) I love Harry very much and want him to be in a home where he is cleaned regularly and loved often! A 7 year old should have lots of energy!! I'm sure your daughter would love him. I can give you more information if you like. Dear Amy,
We have recently added a male guinea pig to our family. I have been doing a lot of research to make the best home for him possible and would like to get him a buddy. Has Harry ever had a buddy? What are your experiences/suggestions re: pairing of guinea pigs (good idea?)? "Bibble" receieves a lot of attention from me and my husband and our 3 children (8, 10, 12). We would greatly appreciate your opionion about adding another pig and if you think Harry would be a good match for our family.
